As a community service project, Cherokee Schools are collecting Pull Tabs to donate to Oklahoma City's Ronald McDonald House. We’re helping keep families together when it matters most, and we’re teaching our students the value of recycling! Students can bring tabs to school in a non-breakable container or you can drop pull tabs off at the elementary school office.
Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for the families of critically ill children seeking medical treatment at Oklahoma City Children’s Hospital. Pull tabs are recycled to earn money to help provide all the comforts of “home” to these families.
Your support of this program and the families of critically ill children is greatly appreciated.
The Elementary School is collecting box tops this year. You can send your box tops to school with your child or drop them off at the office. Our goal this year is to earn $1000, to reach this goal we need to collect 10,000 box tops! Thank you for your support.
Cherokee Schools is excited to announce that we have an app and will be utilizing it to send out school notifications. The app is called SchoolWay and is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. SchoolWay also has a WebApp that can be accessed from any web-enabled device or computer.
The main page is called Cherokee High School and you will need to subscribe to that page in order to access all the channels. Your child’s teacher has a private page set-up so she can send out class specific notifications to only the parents/guardians of her students. Your child’s teacher page can be found by searching for the grade or teachers name. We also recommend you follow Elementary School, Elementary Music and Elementary Library to stay up to date with upcoming events.
If you do not want to download the app and just want to receive text messages or emails that can be set-up from the web-app. You will still need to create an online account and set-up your preferences.
