We have had 1 student at Cherokee High School test positive for COVID-19. We have identified 17 students & 2 staff who were in close contact and will begin immediate quarantine. Every parent of a child who came into close contact has been personally notified. If you did not receive a text message your child did not come into close contact with this individual. All of our quarantine procedures and contact tracing are guided by the State and County Health Department.

Cherokee High School Boy’s Basketball will have practice Monday and Tuesday of this week from 5:30-7:30pm.

Just a reminder that the 5/6 Grade Basketball Team will be playing at Hillsdale Christian School in Hillsdale today at 4pm. For those attending the game we have received this information: When you come to Hillsdale today we have a bridge being replaced on Highway 132 in the last half mile before you get to the Hillsdale turnoff. At the second curve at the Grant/Garfield County line take the detour east one mile and then come two miles south and you're in Hillsdale. It is a really good rock road.
Hillsdale Christian School Covid Guidelines:
1. Have your teams come dressed. Restrooms will be available but not locker rooms.
2. Our new gym is large enough to isolate the players from each other except while the game is in progress.
3. No fist bumps or hand shaking line after the game.
4. Bring your own practice balls.
5. The game ball will be disinfected during stoppage of clock at timeouts and end of quarters.
6. Masks are recommended but not required.

Please join us tomorrow, November 10 for the Annual Cherokee FFA Labor Auction and Dinner. It will be held at the Alfalfa County Fairgrounds. Dinner will begin at 6 pm. It includes calf fries, smoked pork chops, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a roll, homemade cobbler, and a drink. We have 59 members to sell 8 hours of labor each. More tables and less chairs will be set up to help with social distancing.
