Cherokee Schools will be in school today and begin at normal times.
All buses will run their normal route schedules.
Highways are still in good shape, city streets have a few slick spots but overall are clear. Areas around our facilities have been treated again to keep sidewalks and parking lots clear.
As always, please be cautious and safe while driving.

Roads will be checked tomorrow morning incase changes over night have impacted travel. We will be watching the weather closely over the next several days. Extremely cold temperatures and more possible winter weather are in the forecast. We will do our best to make timely decisions and get notifications out . Please continue to be safe and cautious!
Weekly Activities!
Cherokee Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 9th. This will be a snow day. If additional days are necessary to be out of school this week they will be virtual days. Devices were sent home today with Elementary students in case this is needed, all 5th - 12th students should have devices with them also. Updates will be given as needed tomorrow.

Cherokee Schools will start classes at 10am today. There will not be any Career tech classes in Alva this morning. Roads are slick so please take extra time and be cautious as you bring students to school.
No boys basketball open today.
The HS Boys Basketball game scheduled for Monday at Burlington has been cancelled.
The 5/6 & JH basketball bus will be in Cherokee around 7pm.

5/6 grade basketball bus will leave at 12:30 on Thursday for games at Pond Creek.
JH Basketball bus will leave at 2:30pm.
If 5/6 and JH Basketball players are riding the bus home they will leave immediately following the JH games. They should arrive home approximately between 5:45-6:15pm.
Tomorrow 5/6, JH & HS Basketball Teams will play at Pond Creek-Hunter. Each player will be given tickets to hand out. Attached are the guidelines for attending the game.
Basketball Update: Today's games will begin with the Boys JV at 5pm, Girls at 6:30pm & Boys at 8pm.

On Monday, February 1, we will take elementary spring individual pictures and class group pictures. We will also take HS girls and boys basketball pictures.
Boys open gym tonight from 5pm to 6pm.
Basketball Update: The HS basketball game scheduled for February 6 with Laverne has been canceled. Senior Night will now take place during the basketball game on Monday, February 1.
