NEW LINK ON THE CHEROKEE PUBLIC SCHOOL COUNSELOR PAGE: Please check out the Child Mind Institute link on the CPS Counselor link for articles with information and suggestions on how to handle those tough topics our children are facing every day. There is a symptom checker that gives you some insight to consider when you are seeing changes in your child. Overall, this is a helpful site for parents and educators to better understand the mind of a child.

Upward Bound is offering a live virtual tutor every week Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm-7:30pm. This tutoring service is available to all Cherokee students, not just Upward Bound. The tutoring is set up as a google classroom using the class code 5cydbo6. Cherokee Families, We have had two members of our maintenance crew test positive for Covid-19. We have identified two other staff members who were in close contact and will begin immediate quarantine. Other than family members of the individuals testing positive we have zero students identified as being in close contact with either of the positive cases during the past 48 hours. We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions as we gather necessary information. We will begin sanitizing and disinfecting the areas and equipment that have been in use immediately. It is our continued goal to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all our students and staff. All of our quarantine procedures and contact tracing are guided by the State and County Health Department. Thank you, Cherokee Public Schools

Information from Pioneer Public Schools regarding Friday Evenings Game: We are recommending masks, but are not requiring them during the game as long as social distancing can be maintained. However, we are asking that fans please wear masks to the concession stand and the restroom as we cannot maintain distancing at those times. Fan may bring chairs and sit on the track on your side of the field. We just ask that they please stay off of the grass which we will consider the field of play. Fans can sit basically endzone to endzone on the track, minus the area in front of the bleachers which we would reserve for your cheerleaders. Our band will be set up behind the south endzone. We are locating them there so they can maintain social distancing and it alleviates seating for our fans on the home side. Just did not want that to catch you off guard. We are asking all fans after the game to not linger on the field and to try to return to their cars in a timely fashion. Just trying to avoid large gatherings of parents on the field. Admission is $5 for adults and school aged students.
